Tommy Hill just missed out on giving Worx Crescent Suzuki their first double race win at Cadwell Park in the second race of the day at Cadwell Park as Josh Brookes took the lead before the red flag with just four laps remaining. (see more)
Hill had taken his first race win since Thruxton earlier in the day and the Worx Crescent Suzuki team had worked hard to take on their HM Plant Honda rivals who doubled up here back in May. Hill and Brookes had been inseparable in the closing stages of the race, with the Australian taking the lead into Hall Bends but Hill's chance to attack back was cut short when James Edmeades crashed out causing the red flag.
Hill said: "That was a good race, I got a good start and we got away in the leading bunch and the lap times were faster than the first race so I knew it was going to be a real battle between us. I just kept chipping away and I got the lead, but Josh was just that bit quicker in that race so all credit to him. I need to thank the whole of the Worx Crescent Suzuki team for all their hard work this weekend as I feel we have really made steps forward with the settings. It was a shame there was a red flag, but that's racing and now we have a weekend off before the Showdown starts at Croft." (see less)
