Silverstone SBK Rd9 FIM World Superbike championship 2011 #2

My first World Superbike event and quite an experience. For a start Silverstone is huge. The new pit complex is massive and getting around meant catching the various buses to get from one side of the track to the other to avoid a 20 minute hike each way. (see more)

Highlights of the weekend for me were Tom Sykes (get well soon mate) drifting through Woodcote on Friday morning practice and Geo Rea's pre-stretching routine, oh and standing next to the factory Aprilia's as they were warmed up. That sound is superb. Now onto the pics... (see less)
