British MX - Foxhills - Round 6
The 6th round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship was held at the legendary Foxhill circuit just outside Swindon, in Wiltshire. The famous Foxhill track, scene of many classic races in its heyday as a GP track, was in ideal condition and ready to put on a great show for the modest crowds of spectators despite the threat of rain which in years past dumped more than its fair share of water onto the circuit rendering it unusable, 1998, 1999 & 2000 the circuit was cursed with heavy rain but after a 3 year lay-off the track bounced back last year hosting a round of the British championship on what was the hottest day of the year. Only in England! Foxhill owner Genevieve Mather: "We couldn't be more pleased to get the track up and running again. We've poured over 30,000 pounds into improvements that will make the track the crown jewel of International Motocross once again."
