MCE 2010 BSB Oulton Park Finale #2

The final round of the MCE British Superbikes Championship was held at a very autumnal Oulton Park up in Cheshire over the weekend of the 8th to the 10th of October. The organisers dubbed it the 'Showdown' as it was to be the round where the title was decided at the end of contentious first year running under the new points system. Whatever the opinions about these new rules are, there is no debate that it made for a very tense and exciting weekend's racing. 3 races were held and the title went down to the last race after Tommy Hill effectively threw it away after crashing in Sunday's first race. Ryan's title shot echoes the sentiments of all before the weekend started, but once the engines fired up most riders seemed to pull the pin and ride like they stole it. Great for us, not so great for Mr Hill nor indeed Mr Ellison. (see less)
