MCE British Superbikes Round 5 Knockhill #2
Knockhill certainly lived up to its reputation, in complete contrast to last year where it was fine and dry for 2 days then threw it down raceday, this time it rained almost constantly until raceday when the sun came out. Sunday morning warm-up was the only (small) window of opportunity to get a dry set-up for the races and this time it all went in tommy hill's favour with the first double win of the season in a convincing display of riding. That first turn at Knockhill caused some major crashes not least in Superstock 1000 when Jason O'Halloran ended up in a big pile up resulting in him unfortunately having his spleen removed and breaking his leg. there is talk of making the run off at Seat Curve a hard surface to try and stop any further carnage.
